Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses at the City Colleges of Chicago is a practical business management education program that helps small business owners develop skills to grow their companies. Participants receive one-on-one business advising from dedicated professionals to help them develop a tailored plan for growth. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
|UBS Elevating Entrepreneurs
UBS is partnering with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce to help entrepreneurs generate job growth and business expansion. The teams are made up of a small business owner, a UBS financial advisor and a UBS client who has been successful in the entrepreneur's industry.
|Bethel New Life SBDC Entrepreneurship Training Program
Bethel’s Entrepreneurship Training Program is for serious entrepreneurs who have already identified the area of business they want to pursue, but need expert guidance to minimize risk and maximize success. This program is geared toward entrepreneurs with new business ideas, owners of informally-run businesses who want to become licensed and legally structured, and owners of emerging businesses that have been licensed and legally structured for less than two years. The program provides 4 months of classroom instruction and a full year of mentoring with a seasoned business professional. An exclusive loan fund set up with a local banking partner is available for graduates of the program. Students who successfully save $1,500 of their own income receive matching funds of $6,000 from Bethel, for a total of $7,500 toward business start-up costs. An exclusive microloan fund set-up by a local bank partner is also available for graduates of the program.
