Chicago Animal Care & Control has new intake hours 7 days a week.
Owner Surrendered pets from 12 pm to 7 pm
Stray animals from 8 am to 10 pm
Owners can also make an appointment outside of these hours by emailing: caccrescue@cityofchicago.org
Viewing of Lost Pets:
Monday - Tuesday -Wednesday - Thursday - Friday - Saturday - Sunday
12:15 pm, 1:15 pm, 2:15 pm., 4:15 pm., 5:15 pm., 6:15 pm.
(No Tour at 3:15)
Viewing of Adoptable Animals:
Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday - Friday - Saturday - Sunday
12:00 pm (noon) to 7:00 pm.

We are open for the drop off of lost or unwanted animals 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
*Please Note*
- Applications for adoptions are not given out after 6 pm
- The shelter will remain open for viewing until 7 pm
- Redemptions and Lost Pet Tours end at 6:15 pm
