In anticipation of the upcoming Chicago Gospel Music Festival in June, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) is pleased to present a special preview event that will offer opportunities for gospel music artists and industry professionals. On Saturday, March 16, 6–9pm, the ChicagoMade Gospel Music Artists & Repertoire (A&R) Auditions Performance – an opportunity for pre-selected artists to perform live for a panel of major and independent music label and entertainment industry executives. – will take place at the West Point Missionary Baptist Church (3566 S. Cottage Grove).
The ChicagoMade Gospel Music A&R Auditions is part of the free DCASE Professional Development Series that includes an A&R Audition for all music genres this fall, as well as workshops, panel discussions, conferences and more. The program aims to support Chicago’s creative community and directly connect emerging artists to the City of Chicago’s most visible festivals, events and cultural programming.
