Argyle Lunar New Year Parade

February 9, 2019
Argyle St. from Sheridan Rd. to Ainslie to Broadway
Start Time: 1pm

Watch festive parade floats and colorful lion and dragon dancers make their way through the Uptown neighborhood and along the main thoroughfare of Argyle Street.

Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade

February 10, 2019
Wentworth from 24th to 22nd, West on 22nd to Princeton
Start Time: 1pm

The parade will feature marching bands, colorful floats, traditional lion dances and a special appearance by Ronald McDonald.

Southside Irish Parade

March 17, 2019
Western from 103rd to 115th
Start Time: 12 Noon

The Southside Irish Parade will return this year on March 11th on Western Ave. from 103rd to 115th.

Northwest Side Irish Parade

March 17, 2019
Neola Ave. & Northwest Highway to Harlem Ave.
Start Time: 12 Noon

The Northwest Irish Parade is a celebration of faith, family, and heritage on the Northwest side of Chicago.

Assyrian New Year Parade

March 31, 2019
Western Ave. from Granville Ave. to Pratt Ave.
Start Time: 12 Noon

The Assyrian New Year Parade will step-off on the corner of Western and Granville Avenues and proceed North on Western to Pratt Ave.

Star Wars Galactic Parade

April 13, 2019
24th & Indiana to Cermak/Cermak to 24th Pl.
Start Time: 12 Noon

The Star Wars Galactic Parade will take place on Saturday, April 13th.

Cinco De Mayo Parade

May 5, 2019
Cermak Rd. & Damen Ave. to Marshall Blvd.
Start Time: 12 Noon

Cinco De Mayo Parade is held to remember the victory the Mexican forces had over the invading French army in the Battle of Puebla on 5 May, 1862.

LGBTQ Pride Parade

Montrose and Broadway South to Halsted and continuing South to Diversey Parkway to Cannon Dr.

The 50th annual Gay & Lesbian Pride Parade is one of the largest gay pride parades in the country.

Bud Billiken Parade

August 10, 2019
Martin Luther King Dr. from 39th to 55th
Start Time: 10am

The Bud Billiken Parade is the oldest and largest African American parade in the United States. The focus of the parade is getting kids ready for school.

Ecuador Parade

August 11, 2019
Montrose from California to Kimball
Start Time: 12 Noon

The Ecuador Parade will take place in Albany Park and will feature a vibrant train of floats, along with Andean music and dancing from local folkloric troupes, all celebrating Ecuadorian independence.

India Independence Day Parade

August 17, 2019
Devon Ave. to Western to California
Start Time: 11am
The India Independence Day Parade is a lively celebration of Indian independence on Devon Avenue.

Von Steuben German Day Parade

September 7, 2019
Lincoln Ave. & Irving Park Rd. to Eastwood, West to Western to Lawrence
Start Time: 2pm

The parade celebrates Baron Friedrich von Steuben, who came to this country as a volunteer offering his services to General George Washington. General von Steuben converted the revolutionary army into a disciplined fighting force, instilling in them much needed inspiration, confidence and competence.

26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade

September 8, 2019
26th St. from Albany to Kostner
Start Time: 12pm

One of the most colorful parade in Chicago, the 26th Street Mexican Independence Parade celebrates Mexican Independence with floats, mariachi bands and dancing in the streets.

Pilsen Mexican Independence Day Parade

September 14, 2019
18th St. from Newberry Ave. to Wolcott
Start Time: 12pm

This parade is a culturally enriched parade celebrating Mexican Independence. It features traditional folkloric, equestrian and Aztec dancing, local school organizations (marching bands), and floats sponsored by local businesses.
