In response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Chicago has joined the State of Illinois in issuing a Stay at Home order effective Saturday, March 21st at 5pm CT. In addition, City of Chicago facilities are closed to the public. Staff are prioritizing essential services to protect the health and safety of our residents and employees. As such, we may be delayed in responding to non-essential inquiries and service requests. The Department of Planning and Development (DPD) is closely coordinating with the Mayor’s Office and the Chicago Department of Public Health to assess how City Hall-based staff can continue to provide vital customer services while helping to reduce the impact of COVID-19 in Chicago.
At the moment, the vast majority of DPD staff members is working from remote locations. Moving forward, email will be the best way to reach DPD staff and conduct essential business. See below for a list of contacts and subjects.
