CHICAGO – As part of Emergency Preparedness Month, the Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) is partnering with the Department of Procurement Services (DPS), Chicago Police Department (CPD), and Chicago Fire Department (CFD) to host a networking event for potential vendors - “Doing Business with the City of Chicago.”
The event will take place at OEMC, located at 1411 W. Madison St. Chicago, on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 10 :00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. CST. This outreach event is intended to educate vendors about the services OEMC, CPD and CFD provide, and to learn what products and services the departments will need to procure in the next 12 months to assist in those efforts.
As a result, vendors can be better informed about what goods and services they may be qualified to provide and pursue contract opportunities as either a direct or indirect contractor or subcontractor. Over 5,000 invitations are being sent to different firms in various industries related to technology, computer hardware/software, marketing, and public safety.
