More than three thousand vaccinated Chicagoans came together on Saturday, September 4th for the final concert of the Protect Chicago Music Series. ¡Súbelo! featured performances by more than 10 Latinx performers, including world-renowned music artists Kinky and MOLOTOV.
CDPH partnered with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, the Chicago Park District and Pilsen Fest to host the event where attendees enjoyed live music, food from local restaurants, handmade goods from artisan vendors, and art from local artists who created original works promoting COVID-19 vaccination as part of the Vax-Chi-Nation campaign.
The Protect Chicago Music Series was designed exclusively for fully COVID-19 vaccinated Chicagoans to include a variety of musical events taking place across Chicago as an incentive and benefit for Chicagoans who receive a COVID-19 vaccine to protect their families, communities, and themselves.
With the City of Chicago once again seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases, it is more important than ever to get vaccinated to protect yourself, your family, and your community. Vaccines have been essential in the fight against COVID-19 and its variants – and help protect individuals from serious illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19.
