Stormwater Management Plan
Terms and Conditions for Stormwater Management Plan
Additional permits required
Approval of a stormwater management plan does not authorize construction to implement that plan. Before performing any work, you must obtain all required permits, including but not limited to building permits, sewer permits, street opening permits, and driveway permits.
Work performed pending approval
After a draft plan or plan amendment has been submitted to the city and before it has been approved, the owner or developer may perform any work at the site that does not require a building permit or other type of permit, provided that the owner and developer are responsible for the full cost, if any, associated with correcting work that does not comply with the subsequent approval.
Duration of approval
Requirements under the Stormwater Management Ordinance are subject to change. Approval of a stormwater management plan or plan amendment is valid for one year from the approval date. If work to implement the plan or plan amendment does not commence by that date, compliance with any new requirements of the Stormwater Management Ordinance or Stormwater Regulations will be required before work may begin.
Field verification
It is the responsibility of the designer and developer to field check the size, location, and invert elevation of existing sewers and other privately-owned utilities prior to the start of construction.
As-built drawings
Upon completion of work under this approval, you must submit as-built drawings to the Department of Buildings.
