Recycling Rates

These figures reflect waste diversion totals from the recycling services DSS provides to Chicago's 625,000 households with 1 - 4 residential units, as well as organic material collected, such as Christmas trees, leaves and yard waste, that may at times come from the public way and high-rise residents. Other materials the City diverts from landfills that are not reflected here include construction and demolition debris, E-waste, and materials diverted in a decentralized fashion including textiles and film plastic.
