The Chicago Department of Transportation has jurisdiction over 45 plazas throughout the City. Local community groups can activate these People Plazas through a wide variety of efforts including community events, cultural programming, placemaking installations, and outdoor furniture.  A list of plaza locations suitable for activations can be found here.
