Street outreach and re-entry programs provide comprehensive assistance and support to adults facing the challenges of re-entry into their communities and those at risk of becoming victims or perpetrators of violence.

Street Outreach: Meeting You Where You Are

In the streets of Chicago, dedicated organizations are actively engaging individuals at immediate risk of violence. Through safe space activations, critical incident response, conflict de-escalation, and peace-building initiatives, street outreach teams work tirelessly to support and connect individuals and groups in need.

The Chicago Department of Public Health currently funds 18 street outreach organizations in 25 communities most impacted by violence. Whether you're seeking assistance, guidance, or simply a safe space, these organizations are here for you.
