Congress Parkway Bridge Closed Early Sunday For Testing And Maintenance

The movable bascule bridge over the Chicago River at Congress Parkway and the Eisenhower Expressway will be closed for several hours early Sunday morning in order to test the bridge lifting systems and perform routine maintenance.

The full roadway closure will be from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday, September 21st.

All vehicles will be detoured south around the closure via Wells Street, Harrison Street and Canal Street.
