Freedom of Information Act (for Chicago Police Board)

The Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a state law that provides access to certain public records.  Each City department is a separate agency responsible for maintaining its own records, so requests should be submitted to the department that maintains the records you want.

If photocopies of records are requested, a fee of no more than 15 cents per page may be charged for copying in excess of 50 pages to cover reproduction costs.
