Too Good for Drugs Middle School Lesson Overview
MOPD’s Substance Use Prevention Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SUPPD)
SUPPD incorporates the guiding principles from the evidence-based Too Good for Drugs Curriculum, known for its strong social-emotional learning component (SEL), into its prevention series.
The first 5 lessons include life skills to help support students develop positive executive functioning and social skills, such as goal setting, emotion management, and decision-making. The next 5 subsequent presentations address alcohol, tobacco products, marijuana, and other drugs.
These presentations can be scheduled in the classroom or online. Each presentation is 50 minutes. All 10 lessons are recommended, but not required. We would love to work with you and the needs of your classroom!
