Announcing RFP for MOPD Diverse Learners $500 Cash Assistance for Students with Disabilities, $5 million total pool

RFP Opened on May 12, 2023 3:00 pm Central Time

RPF Closes on July 7, 2023 12:00 pm Central Time

Purpose:

MOPD seeks a nonprofit charitable organization to administer the 2023 Diverse Learners Recovery Fund, which will provide up to 11,500 income eligible students with disabilities with a one time,  $500 unrestricted cash assistance grant to students with disabilities to increase access to out of school programs, services and supports that were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.  MOPD seeks organizations who have experience conducting outreach and eligibility assessments for programs serving young people with disabilities and can administer large volume direct cash assistance grants to help our students and families in each of our 77 communities in our City.

Contract Period:

This RFP is for services for the following time period:  August 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024.  Total funding of $5 million through the Chicago Recovery Plan dollars.
