Chicago Youth Service Corps

Chicago Youth Service Corps (CYSC) is a year-round program that provides paid opportunities for youth ages 16-24 to engage in community service, project-based learning, and leadership development. CYSC was launched in 2020 as part of One Summer Chicago to engage young people as part of the City’s response to COVID-19.

Over the last two years, over 5,000 young people between the ages of 16 and 24 were employed in projects focused on developing leadership and empowering a service mindset. Beginning in the summer of 2022, 880 youth will participate in an expanded 40-week program. DFSS manages the Chicago Youth Service Corps.  For more information, or to apply, please visit cysc.mychimyfuture.org.
