One Summer Chicago

One Summer Chicago brings together government institutions, community-based organizations, and companies to offer employment and paid internship opportunities to youth and young adults ages 14 to 24. In partnership with delegate agencies, City departments, and sister agencies, this program provides more than 15,000 jobs and training opportunities from July 5 to August 12, 2022.

The nature of these jobs ranges from working outdoors, to work placements at local businesses, to involvement in arts and academic enrichment programs. Additionally, participating youth build work readiness skills and financial literacy through playlists on the My CHI. My Future. website and app.

The Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) manages One Summer Chicago and leads the partnership with City Departments and delegate agencies to host youth for paid internships and jobs over the summer.  For more information, or to apply, please visit onesummerchicago.org.
