CDOT Rules and Regulations for Construction in the Public Way - Open for Comment

In March of 2016, the Chicago Department of Transportation issued an updated version of the “Rules and Regulations for Construction in the Public Way.”  The periodic revision of the regulations is part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to ensure safe and quality construction and restoration in the City of Chicago.

The Department has now slightly modified the 2016 Regulations and seeks input on the additions, changes, deletions, or clarifications to the following Sections: 3.4.5c, 3.6, 4.1.2 and detail A-2-1N.  Your input will be taken into consideration for incorporation into future revisions of the Rules and Regulations. A hard copy of the current CDOT Rules and Regulations is also available for review at the CDOT Permit Office located at City Hall Room 905.
