Town Hall Senior Apartments

3600 N. Halsted St.

The former Chicago Police Department Town Hall Station in Lakeview was rehabilitated as part of a 79-unit apartment complex for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender seniors. The $27 million project completed in 2014 by Heartland Housing Inc. combines a refurbished police station with a new six-story apartment and retail complex. Originally built in 1907, the two-story station was operated by Chicago Police until 2010, when it was replaced by a larger, modern police station nearby.
