Roseland Medical District

The Roseland Community Medical District Commission was established by the Roseland Community Medical District Act (70 ILCS 935/) which was signed into law on August 5, 2011. The Medical District Commission is tasked by statute to develop a plan for the medical district and given certain powers to maintain the proper surroundings for a medical center.  

The Medical District Commission has jurisdiction over the Roseland Community Medical District, whose boundaries are Stewart Avenue on the west, 110th Street on the north, Michigan Avenue on the east, and 112th Street on the south. 

The planning process will require an ongoing public engagement effort to understand needs, develop a shared vision, establish project goals and objectives, and cultivate support and consensus for the recommended improvements and vision within a study area. The study area is bounded by Eggleston Avenue to the west, 110th Street to the north, Edbrooke Avenue to the east, and 112th Street to the south.
