A proposed Residential-Business Planned Development submitted by Center Court Development LLC and XS Tennis & Education Foundation for the property generally located at 5301 South State Street. The applicant proposes to rezone the site from M1-2 (Limited Manufacturing/Business Park District) to B3-3 (Community Shopping District) and then to a Residential-Business Planned Development to permit the construction of a five-story residential building with 51 affordable dwelling units and a six-story, 125-key hotel, both with ground floor retail and commercial space, and 72 vehicular parking spaces.

The property is currently zoned POS-1 (Parks and Open Space) and is within the Public Use Zone of the Lake Michigan and Chicago Lakefront Protection District. The applicant proposes the construction of a 26,781-square-foot dog park in Lincoln Park.

A proposed Lake Michigan and Chicago Lakefront Protection Ordinance application, submitted by Loyola University of Chicago, for the property generally located at 6551-81 N. Sheridan Road. The property is zoned Planned Development No. 34 and is within the Private-Use Zone of the Lake Michigan and Chicago Lakefront Protection District. The applicant is proposing to construct a six-story building, not to exceed 90 feet in height, containing University classroom, research, laboratory space.

An informational presentation of the Calumet Area Land Use Plan and Design Guidelines. Covering portions of the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th Wards, the plan focuses on assessing the effectiveness of the Burnside, Pullman, and Calumet Industrial Corridors, the Lake Calumet Planned Manufacturing District (PMD 6), and other industrially zoned land in the Calumet Area. Launched in 2024 with an expected conclusion in early 2026, the planning process provides multiple opportunities for collaboration and comment to establish a 20-year vision for the area, incorporating the City’s economic, job creation, health and safety, and environmental goals. The plan will also include design guidelines related to landscape, stormwater, site and building design, and sustainability, with a particular focus on the negative impacts of air and noise pollution.
