Cicero/Archer TIF

The 94-acre Cicero/Archer TIF was established to foster the cohesive redevelopment of portions of Archer Avenue, 47th Street and Cicero Avenue in the Garfield Ridge community. The TIF is intended to facilitate the rehabilitation and new development of commercial, retail and service uses while improving existing institutional and residential structures. Priorities include property assembly assistance, transportation improvements, utility work and landscaping, as well as infrastructure improvements. An improved business atmosphere and the removal of blighting influences made possible by the TIF are designed to enhance the stability of nearby residential properties and to provide a more visually appealing entry to Midway Airport.
