Midway Industrial Corridor TIF

Designation: 2000    Expiration: 2024

Characterized by industrial facilities and vacant industrial properties, the 384-acre Midway Industrial Corridor TIF was designated to provide assistance for rehabilitation and new construction projects that create jobs and improve employment opportunities within the Garfield Ridge community. Funds are intended to assist site assembly and preparation efforts, environmental remediation projects where necessary, and improvements to area infrastructure and utilities. Job training and day care initiatives are also supported by the TIF, along with activities that maximize the district's proximity to Midway Airport, rail routes, and I-55.
