Mayor Emanuel Announces Appointments to City of Chicago Boards and Commissions

Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced his appointments to five boards and commissions in the City today. They include the Community Development Commission, Affirmative Action Advisory Board, Board of Health, Chicago Community Land Trust Board and Low Income Housing Trust Fund Board. These appointees represent a diverse group of community and business leaders from across the city.

“Throughout their careers, these individuals have shown a deep dedication to serving communities across Chicago,” said Mayor Emanuel. “My administration is committed to providing people in every neighborhood with the highest quality and most effective services. I'm confident these appointees will help the City achieve its goals."

 

Appointed to the Community Development Commission are:

  • Omar A. Duque, Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, President and CEO
  • Lynda A. Olander, Precision Plating Company, Inc., Corporate Controller
  • Shirley J. Newsome, former Interim Alderman, Fourth Ward
  • Andrew J. Mooney, Department of Housing and Economic Development, Commissioner
  • Ellen K. Sahli, University of Chicago, Director of Civic Engagement

 

Appointed to the Affirmative Action Advisory Board are:
