I congratulate Whitney Young’s debate team on bringing the State championship home to Chicago. Through their competitive spirit, discipline, and teamwork, these students are a shining example of how our children are achieving great things every day. The success of Chicago’s children, whether through athletic, artistic and academic activities, should inspire us all. On this point there can be no debate: our children are the pride of Chicago. Congratulations to the Whitney Young debate team for a job well-done.
