Information for Public Viewing of the Gift Inventory Area

Calendar of Planned Quarterly Public Viewing Dates 

• Registration for the July 11th viewing date will close on July 9th.
• October 2025, date to be announced.
• January 2026, date to be announced.

Please note that public viewing dates are subject to change.

• The viewing slots will be 15 minutes in length and will begin at 9:30am and end at 4:30pm.  Requests will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.
• Each individual may register for one time slot, and registrations are not transferrable.
• In order to register, individuals must provide their first and last name, email, zip code, and preferred time slot.
• Only the registered individual will be allowed entry to the gift inventory area - registered individuals may not bring guests or additional individuals into the gift inventory area. 
• Those who are unable to complete registration online may call (312)744-9500 to register via phone.
• The area is wheelchair accessible; to request any other accessibility, please e-mail access@cityofchicago.org.
• If you need to cancel your reservation, please email your name, reserved time, and confirmation number to giftinventory@cityofchicago.org.

Day-of Instructions for Public Viewing

The gift inventory area is at City Hall, which is located at 121 North LaSalle Street. Individuals who have a confirmed time slot should arrive at City Hall 10-15 minutes in advance of their entry time and provide their name and confirmed time slot in the lobby of City Hall. Registered individuals will need to provide a photo ID to enter the gift inventory area and will be required to go through normal City Hall security.

Photos and videos of the gift inventory area are not allowed on public viewing days. No food or drink is allowed in the gift inventory area.
