The most important asset of the City is our workforce. The Workforce Management division focuses on enhancing our Departments’ ability to answer questions and make informed decisions leveraging city data relevant to performance and management. OBM continues to develop key performance metrics and dashboards focused on common work practices and policies. As we help identify areas of opportunity, we engage with our partners in Human Resources, Finance and Law to work on implementing citywide solutions to improve the management of the employee experience. We continuously work to engage with City Departments to identify issues, measure and assist in improving performance by reducing risk, controlling costs, manage compliance, leverage skills and abilities of our employees and to implement actionable plans with the goal of consistent delivery of safe and effective city services to the residents and visitors of Chicago.
