Addison Corridor Plan

In an effort to guide economic growth in and around the Addison Industrial Corridor over the next 20 years, the Department of Housing and Economic Development hired a consultant team, led by DLK Civic Design, to create a strategic plan for the area.

The corridor is located along the North Branch of the Chicago River roughly between Irving Park Road and Diversey Avenue.  The plan is preliminary and conceptual in nature.  It showcases the opportunities and possibilities for transforming the Addison Corridor into a 21st Century urban business park.

The plan of three components: an economic development strategy, which describes the business sectors that could be targeted; a land use and urban design plan; and an implementation plan that includes a strategy to guide public investment in the corridor as well as priority actions to be taken.
