51st/Archer TIF

Designation: 2000    Expiration: 2024

The 51st/Archer TIF district is intended to help integrate new economic development with existing businesses, facilitate the rehabilitation of the area's commercial and industrial uses, and support the creation of secure parking facilities that can be shared by multiple businesses. In targeting properties along 51st Street and Central Park Avenue, the 273-acre district is also designed to improve street lighting and traffic signals, create safe and attractive pedestrian connections, and encourage residential development where adjacent residential uses exist or in other appropriate areas. It is also intended to help provide safe and convenient truck access for local industrial users.
