“The new data released today by the U.S. Department of Commerce – showing an increase of $2.4 billion in Chicago metro area exports from 2013 to 2014 – reinforces that our efforts to maintain Chicago’s place as an export leader are paying off. Chicago has not only become a springboard for small businesses looking to increase their global competitiveness, but along with legacy corporations which drive exports from Canada to China, these companies are helping to support local job growth and strengthen Chicago’s economy.”
