Senator Dick Durbin Hosts Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot At Illinois Congressional Delegation Reception

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) will host a reception with the Illinois Congressional delegation this evening with special guest Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot (D-IL) as part of her trip to Washington D.C. The meeting will include a discussion on how to maximize the city’s new federal investments that will go towards Chicago’s equitable COVID response, infrastructure, and across Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods. The Illinois Congressional delegation and Mayor Lightfoot are committed to securing federal investments to ensure communities in Chicago and across Illinois continue to thrive.
