OEMC reminds attendees of events to report suspicious activity and be aware of surroundings in public gatherings

Music fills the air in Chicago this weekend with several music festivals and summer activities.  The City of Chicago’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) is reminding those enjoying the city’s offerings to be cognizant of surroundings and call 9-1-1 to report any suspicions of risk to people or property.  Expect traffic impacts and increased activity in the areas surrounding popular events as well as the street closure on Balbo in prep for the 7/28 start of Lollapalooza.

Report Suspicious Activity:  If You See Something, Say Something. OEMC reminds the public to be aware of their surroundings and to report suspicious activity. If you notice something suspicious, notify onsite security or call 9-1-1.
