Training Services

The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities provides Disability Awareness & Etiquette Training. This training identifies appropriate approaches and strategies when interacting with individuals with all types of disabilities in professional, social, and recreational settings. The training is designed to help remove attitudinal and architectural barriers faced by people with disabilities. The removal of these barriers ensures equal access and opportunity for people with disabilities in all aspects of life, such as recreation, housing, employment, education, and transportation.
We will customize training to meet the needs of your audience. To schedule a Disability and Awareness Training, please contact Christina McGleam, Deputy Commissioner, by email: christina.mcgleam@cityofchicago.org or by voice, (312)744-9079 or (312)746-8401.
