Chicago River North Branch Water Traffic Reduced for Six Weeks

The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced that with work progressing on the Addison Underbridge project, the navigational channel for boaters on the North Branch of the Chicago River immediately north of the existing Addison St. Bridge will be reduced between July 17 and Sept. 1, 2019.

 

The channel will be reduced to 40 feet of horizontal clearance and 10 feet of vertical clearance during normal water levels (-2.0' CCD).  The restriction will remain in place until approximately September 1, 2019.
