Ian Weaver: Black Knights' Archive, Chapter One: Migration(click on image to enlarge)

The Black Knights’ Archive is a fictive construction of the history of the Near West Side Chicago neighborhood known as “Black Bottom.” Embodied in film, maps, a ship and various other made objects and ephemera, Weaver not only constructs a personal and communal history, but muses on the nature of nostalgia, collective memory and power.
