Weed/Fremont TIF

Designation: 2008    Terminated: 2018

The Weed/Fremont TIF is designed to revitalize a 2.6-acre area that at the time of its designation was characterized by vacant land and a single industrial building that had been converted to commercial use. The district’s main purpose is to help foster new development that is functionally and aesthetically compatible with improved properties that surround it. Additional goals include infrastructure improvements that restore the physical integrity of area utilities, streets, alleys and sidewalks. Site assembly and preparation activities are supported by the TIF, as are job training and day care services.
