Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise(ACDBE) or Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE)

The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise(ACDBE) certifies firms with at least 51% ownership by a socially or economically disadvantaged individual(s).

Interested firms may apply through the City of Chicago, Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), METRA or PACE.  Each agency certifies minority and women owned firms pursuant to eligibility standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation(USDOT) Regulation 49 CFR Part 26 and 23 and the processes established under IL UCP. In accordance with the IL UCP, you need only to apply to one of the agencies listed above.

In order to become certified as a DBE or ACDBE, your firm must meet the eligibility standards established by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Regulation 49 CFR Part 26 and 23.  Once a firm is certified by the CIty as a DBE or ACDBE, it will be honored by all IL UCP participating agencies.

Further guidance on DBE application can be obtained in the DBE Federal Regulations by reviewing the Department of Transportation's web page at http://www.dot.gov.
