In addition, City of Chicago facilities are closed to the public. Staff are prioritizing essential services to protect the health and safety of our residents and employees. Occupancy Capacity Signs are required for every room, space or facility where more than 100 people gather for civic, political, educational, religious, social, recreational, or other similar activity. Spaces which require Occupancy Capacity signs include theaters, auditoriums, chuches, ballrooms and dance halls, exhibit halls, museums and galleries, meeting rooms, restaurants and bars, gyms and athletic facilities (with or without spectators), and schools.
