West Ridge/Peterson TIF

Designation: 1986    Expiration: 2010

Serving the West Ridge community, the West Ridge/Peterson TIF was created to foster the commercial redevelopment of six-acres of underutilized land along Peterson Avenue. The bulk of new increment from the TIF is intended for land acquisition, demolition and environmental remediation efforts. Additional funds are targeted for public works improvements involving streets, utilities, and other public property enhancements within the district. Job training and day care services for are also supported by the TIF.

West Ridge/Peterson TIF district, which expired in 2010, was roughly bounded on the north by Norwood Street, Peterson Avenue on the south, Seeley Avenue on the east and Hamilton Avenue on the west.
