Through a transparent and competitive contracting process, including the issuance of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), DFSS partners with over 1,000 delegate agencies to ensure vital resources reach the individuals and communities who need them most.

Overview of the Contracts Documents

  

The Contracts Process Flow (Original Contracts and Amendments)

Step Phase Responsible What Happens Deliverables / Notes
1 Send Award Letters Contracts Team Agencies are sent the award package. Five (5) documents requested from Delegate Agency (see list below).
2 Agency Review Delegate Agency Agency completes and returns all documents to the Contracts Team and Program Manager. Documents are generally prepared in parallel by agency staff.
3 Scope/Budget Review Program Manager & Contracts Team Receive documents, review scope and budget, and forward budget to Finance. Ensure scope aligns to program; budget routed to Finance for processing.
4 Enter Budget Finance Finance reviews/approves budget and submits to GPAD. Grants & Project Accounting Division (GPAD) approves budget.
5 Post to Web Contracts Team Upon receipt of all contract documents, enter contract in E-Smart and post to the web. Final posting after all documents and approvals are in place.
