Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS),
[Congregate Dining Meal Services RFP]
The Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) seeks proposals from qualified agencies for the provision of high quality, nutritious meals for the Congregate Dining Program across a variety of settings citywide (e.g. senior centers, senior housing, community-based organization locations etc.). These sites, referred to as nutrition sites, serve meals in a communal setting.
The awarded catered and on-site meal providers will be responsible for the provision of meals and related nutrition supplies and equipment as specified in this RFP. Delegate agencies can apply to provide catered and onsite meal provider services. Interested applicants are required to submit an application for each model (catered and/or onsite) desired.
The term of contract(s) executed under this RFP will be from October 1st, 2025, – September 30th, 2028. Based on need, availability of funds and contractor performance, DFSS may extend this term for up to one additional year. Continued support will be dependent upon the selected Respondent’s performance and the continued availability of funding. We anticipate the total amount to be awarded across all agencies to be approximately between $2.8 million - $3 based on funding from the Older Americans Act (OAA) funding sources as well as other funding sources made available for the program. DFSS anticipates funding up to 8 agencies. This contract will operate on a reimbursement basis only. No advances will be given.
