Home Repair Program

Formerly known as the Roof and Porch Repair Program, the Home Repair Program (HPR) provides grants to income-eligible homeowners to repair health and safety issues in the home. The program is open to residents who own and occupy a 1-to-4-unit residential property. To qualify, households must meet HUD income guidelines. The amount of financial assistance is based on household need and available funding. A site inspection will determine the scope of work needed and repair cost.

The program areas may include the following services. See below for current open application opportunities.

  • Roof or porch repair/replacement
  • Remediation of environmental health hazards, including mold, asbestos or lead remediation, flood control, air quality, and other environmental issues that may be deemed as unhealthy living conditions
  • Small accessibility improvements or repairs to households occupied by persons with disabilities
