Chi Food Truck Fest Rolls Onto Daley Plaza for its 10th Season
Weekly fest celebrating Chicago’s culinary diversity starts Friday, May 16.

CHICAGO –Today, Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) announced the 2025 Chi Food Truck Fest season will begin on Friday, May 16 at Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington Street. The popular lunchtime event will take place every Friday through October 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The fest showcases Chicago’s rich culinary culture with a weekly rotating lineup of food trucks. Now in its 10th year, the Chi Food Truck Fest has become a downtown summer tradition, drawing crowds from all over the city to sample a variety of cuisines from Chicago’s food truck operators. “The Chi Food Truck Fest brings together food, culture, and connection,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “I am proud to celebrate the fest’s 10th season as a delicious showcase of Chicago’s entrepreneurial spirit and culinary innovation.”
This season, the festival welcomes nine new food trucks, enhancing an already diverse menu with offerings ranging from gourmet pizzas and Southern comfort food to decadent desserts. Guests are invited to enjoy their meals with colleagues and friends beneath the iconic Chicago Picasso sculpture at Daley Plaza.
“For a decade, the Chi Food Truck Fest has showcased the incredible culinary talent that exists across our city, said BACP Commissioner Ivan Capifali. “BACP is proud to support these small businesses and celebrate the role they play in making Chicago a culinary destination.”
