STI/HIV Testing and STI Treatment

Thank you for choosing the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) for your sexual health needs. The CDPH provides testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) at our Specialty Clinics.

Effective Wednesday, January 11, 2023, the Chicago Department of Public Health's Austin Specialty Clinic, 4909 W. Division St., is temporarily closed. To accommodate clients affected by this temporary closure, the Roseland Specialty Clinic will be open 5 days a week until the Austin Clinic reopens. CDPH's Lakeview Clinic also offers services 5 days a week. Please contact the clinics prior to your visit for the most up-to-date information.

Hours of operation for both clinics are:

  • Mon, Wed, Fri: 8am-4pm
  • Tue, Thurs: 9am-5pm

Once the Austin clinic reopens, Lakeview will resume its regular schedule and Roseland will resume its schedule of 2 days per week. Thank you for your continued support of the work we love to do!

CDPH’s Austin and Lakeview Specialty Clinics are open for STI/HIV testing and STI treatment five days a week. For now, the Roseland Specialty Clinic is open two days a week, Mondays and Thursdays. While appointments are preferred, each clinic may be able to accommodate walk-in patients, according to a limited schedule, please call the individual location above, to inquire.

How To Prepare

Please call our clinics to schedule an appointment.

We ask that patients present two items at registration:

  • Photo ID (such as a school identification card, state identification card, or driver’s license):
If you do not have a photo ID at the time of your visit, you can still get STI/HIV testing and same-day HIV test results. However, you must present photo identification when you return for your other test results.
  • Medical Insurance Card (for those with insurance):
The Chicago Department of Public Health is committed to providing high quality care to our patients in the STI Specialty Clinics, regardless of your ability to pay or whether you have insurance.

Patients will need to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment in order to complete registration. If you arrive 15 minutes late for your appointment you may need to reschedule. All patients are required to wear masks that cover both the nose and mouth. Only patients with scheduled appointments are allowed into the clinic.

The Chicago Department of Public Health is working with City, County, and State guidelines to help protect all its constituents' health and wellness during these uncertain times.
